Sippin' Santa

Reservations released at 12 Noon Sat Nov 13th

Here's the bad news...Planter's House will be closed from Nov 14 - 22. But the GOOD news is that we're closing so we can transform Planter's House into Sippin' Santa!

Sippin' Santa will take place in the Planter's House space from Nov 23 - Dec 31, and reservations for this Tiki Christmas Paradis will be released tomorrow (Sat Nov 13th) at 12 noon. Each reservation requires a non refundable $5 per person reservation fee. This fee helps us raise money to support local charities through the St. Louis Community Foundation's Covid 19 Regional Response Fund. Walk-Ins will also be available, but are only available on a first come, first served basis.

Miracle Reservations

The first two weeks of Miracle reservations are nearly sold out! The remaining reservations will be released on Wednesday Dec 1st at 2pm.

We know you love bourbon as much as we do, so we're excited to announce not one but TWO new Planter's House exclusive single barrel offerings. Both barrels were selected earlier this year, but just freshly arrived at Planter's House.

Elijah Craig Single Barrel Small Batch, 9 years, 94 °
This arrived a couple of weeks ago and has been really well received--makes an especially delicious Old Fashioned. The flavor is rich with baking spices and loads of buttery richness. A limited number of bottles are available at $40 each, limit 2 bottles.

Four Roses 2020 Private Selection Barrel Strength OBSK, 9 years 5 months, 117.6°, "Till the Money Runs Out"
Here's our first ever Barrel Strength Single Barrel pick that just came in yesterday! This Four Roses Private Selection features a high rye recipe with a slight spice yeast strain and is a powerhouse of flavor--spicy, creamy, and rich from start to finish. We've opted to name this tasty bottle "Till the Money Runs Out". A limited number of bottles are available to purchase for $120/bottle, limit 2 bottles.

- All guests are required to wear masks. No mask, no entry!

- No parties over 6 people
- If you are more than 15 minutes late for your reservation, we may give your table away

Reopening Tuesday August 4th

We recently found out that a guest that visited Planter's House on Saturday July 25th has tested positive for CoVID-19. This guest arrived at Planter's House at 8:36pm. They DID wear a mask when entering and being seated. They were seated outside and stayed for 42 minutes before exiting (with mask on) through the outdoor patio gate. They are asymptomatic--currently feeling fine and not exhibiting any symptoms.

Through all of this, we have been very serious about cleanliness, social distancing, and following appropriate protocol to ensure the safety of our guests and of our staff. Although we feel confident that all safety precautions were taken, we are pre-emptively and proactively closing this week so that we can ensure the disinfection of our space and the health of our staff. As a precautionary measure, all staff members are being tested today for CoVID, and we plan to re-open on Tuesday August 4th, after we get their results. Each staff member is health screened when they arrive for work, including a temperature check. Currently all staff member are healthy and feeling great, and we'd love to keep it that way!

We look forward to serving you again after our brief hiatus.

Planter's House reopening Tuesday July 7th

After a nearly 4 month long Coronavirus induced hiatus, we're reopening, and we're so excited to see everyone again! CoVID-19 has changed a lot of things in our lives, and we're taking it seriously. It is our goal to provide a safe, healthy place for you to go out for food and drink. We're kicking off a fresh new food menu and a new cocktail menu is in the works.

New CoVID-19 policies include:

- Reservations are now accepted and available on Tock (Pre-Paid To Go orders also available through Tock). We are accepting parties of up to 6 people. All reservations are given a time allotment which is as follows:
2 people = 1:30 hour 3-4 people = 2 hours 5-6 people = 2:30 hours
- In order to keep other guests safe, please wear a mask when entering, exiting, and when not at your table.
- We are still accepting Walk-Ins (parites of up to 6 people). You're welcome to call ahead to check on seating currently available. 314-696-2603
- Table seating only, no bar seating at this time (will add this back when it is safe to do so)
- Patio tables are encouraged, but please note that our patio is exposed to full sun prior to sunset. When making a reservation, please make note if you prefer outdoor vs. indoor seating.
- Indoor tables are appropriately spaced so that parties will be a minimum of 6 feet apart. Booths have plexiglass barriers dividing them to provide additional safety.
- We are going completely garnish free in order to make drinks as "touchless" as possible.
- If you're hesitant about eating out in public, we encourage you to order with Pre-Paid Pick Up offered through Tock (same as our reservations).
- Cocktails To Go are also available!
- Revised hours are as follows:
Tues-Thurs 4pm-11pm (kitchen 9pm)
Fri-Sat 4pm-12am (kitchen 10pm)
Sun 4pm-10pm (kitchen 9pm)

Small Change is reopening on Wednesday July 8th.

Please wear a mask when arriving and leaving, and enter through the main entrance underneath the Falstaff sign at the corner of Lynch & Indiana

We encourage people to enjoy our patio seating or limited indoor seating.

CoVID-19 Update

Let me begin by saying that we miss you very much! The Planter’s House staff are all healthy and safe, and we hope the same for you, too.

As businesses are beginning to open back up, we have been working to navigate the logistics of reopening. Unfortunately, we still do not have a specific opening date, but please know that we WILL be reopening and are looking forward to seeing you again! We thank you for your patience with us as we take this time to ensure that we can offer a safe experience for both our guests and our staff when we do reopen.

Although we don’t have a set date, here’s a few of the changes that will be happening that you can look forward to:

New delicious food menu, including more “To Go friendly” items
We will now be taking reservation for parties of up to 6 people. Reservations will be available on www.exploretock.com (when we reopen).
An expanded bottled cocktail menu
We will be eliminating bar seating (for now). Table service only, including our beautiful patio.
Plexiglass barriers between our booths have been installed
All employees will wear masks and will be temperature screened at the beginning of each shift
Disposable napkins will be used
Increased sanitizing measures, and more

Thanks for all of your support over the last 6 years, and for loving and appreciating our staff, food, and cocktails as much as we do. We look forward to having you back. Cheers until then!

Last Monday March 16th, we announced that both Planter's House and Small Change are closed while we practice safe social distancing and ride out this COVID-19 pandemic. The hardest part for us personally has been the heartbreaking reality of having to lay off all of our employees.

The flowers and trees are blooming and so is creativity at Planter's House. Chef Sam has been created another amazing menu of tasty kitchen offerings, including a beautiful Strawberry Bibb Salad that looks as beautiful as it tastes. It'll pair wonderfully with our new cocktail called Resistance is Futile, made with 1220 Seasonal Gin, White Chocolate Infused Mizu Green Tea Shochu, Cocchi Rosa, Mathilde Cassis, Lemon, Egg White, Club Soda.
